A night or two away.

A beautiful spa hotel. A small group of women who get it.

Rest, recharge, connect. Gentle restorative practices to help you slow down and ground.

Go back to your life feeling lighter, brighter, more Luminous.

An invitation

We're all juggling a lot. Work, family, relationships, commitments, deadlines, the endless to do list. There isn't always much space left for ourselves.

Luminous is about connection and community. About self-care. About a sense of belonging.

A safe space to be. A break from the doing. Time to slow down, rest and connect.

Somewhere beautiful, because a beautiful space changes how you feel.

Somewhere set in gardens and woodlands, because there is real value in the calming influence of spending time in nature.

What it is

Luminous weekends are thoughtfully hosted gatherings in beautiful spa hotels around Ireland, for small groups of women.

The hotels are chosen for their grounds as much as their spas, most of them sitting on estates with beautiful gardens and woodlands to explore.

A bit of indulgence. The massage you've been meaning to book for yourself for months. A fluffy bathrobe. A dip in the jacuzzi. A reset in the sauna, and a cold plunge if you're feeling brave.

The weekend also includes wellness practices, including gentle restorative yoga, deep rest practices, breathwork, journalling, meditation and other guided practices. Nothing strenuous, nothing you need experience for. Simple practices to help you slow down, ground and bring a little more calm back into everyday life.

Good food and a nice group of women to share it with. You're back by Sunday feeling recharged, with a little more perspective on the day to day.

On the horizon

We're planning more Luminous weekends for 2027, in Ireland and a little further afield.

Some will be our signature rest and recharge weekends. Others will bring a little more city, culture, joy and adventure.

Tell us where you'd like to join us.

April 2027

Marylebone, London

A Luminous city weekend in one of London's most upscale neighbourhoods, with incredible food, shopping, plenty of time to explore and a few of my favourite places in the city.

May 2027

Cliff House Hotel, Co. Waterford

Two nights by the sea on the Waterford coast, with spa time, restorative practices and space to properly switch off.

Saint Germain, Paris

A long weekend in one of Paris's most beautiful neighbourhoods, with great restaurants, shopping, people watching and a little adventure.

The international weekends keep the same Luminous spirit, with time to slow down, connect and enjoy a few simple restorative practices, but with more emphasis on culture, food, exploring and a little adventure.

We stay somewhere beautiful and central, so once you arrive, the weekend is easy. Great restaurants, shops, cafés and some of the best parts of the city are all within easy walking distance.

A note from Aoife

Aoife, founder of Luminous

What makes you feel good when life gets a bit overwhelming? For me, it's a nice hotel. My nervous system instantly calms. The sense of care you feel. I am safe here. I can relax here. The beauty of the space. The luxury. The indulgence.

This is something I used to do regularly, when I lived in London, working in property development and real estate investment for twenty years. I sat in front of a board of fund managers and got quizzed on the performance of my projects. I sat in front of the owners of businesses worth billions. There was a lot of juggling, and it got pretty intense at times. I thrived, until I didn't. Eventually your body says no.

When I got close to my limit, I took myself away to a nice hotel for the weekend, hung out in my fluffy bathrobe, ordered room service and slept. I went back to my life feeling recharged, like I could handle it all again.

Over time, I came to understand why it worked. Beauty calms the nervous system. I believe in the value of beauty, in beautiful spaces, and what they do to our bodies in a way we can't quite perceive, but which is powerful. That's why Luminous happens in beautiful spaces.

And the practices that Luminous offers I learned in yoga teacher training, which I signed up for almost by accident. But what I learned changed my life. I learned about restorative practices that calm the body and the mind, and I use them most evenings to slow down and ground after a busy day.

Luminous is about combining my passions and putting something into the world that I hope will support women who are juggling a lot. I have a theory that a lot of us feel a bit overwhelmed by life at times. I want to create something that offers an experience of slowing down and grounding in a beautiful space, while also connecting us in community.

I've called it Luminous because my wish is that after a weekend away, you go back to your life feeling lighter, brighter, and more Luminous.
